Buy the Best Running Gps Watch - You'll Hug Yourself!

What is the best running Gps watch? With all of the great new Gps enabled sports watches available today, that is a very difficult query to answer. Maybe a good query to ask is what are some of the most beloved Gps sports watches on the shop today?

First, why would whatever pay upwards of 0 (gulp) for what amounts to a fancy wrist watch? Well, these "fancy wrist timepieces are incredibly technology-packed devices that use the Global Positioning system (Gps), a network of 24 satellites that orbit the earth and forms a global navigation system. Developed and owned by the United States, civilian way was granted in the mid 1980's, and is often used for civilian navigation purposes.

If you are a runner of jogger, a transported Global Positioning system on your wrist can pinpoint your location within 3 meters, and help you fabricate timed courses, set (and meet) exercise goals and collect and plot data for execution monitoring.

If you like to hike deep into the backwoods, a Gps watch can be an invaluable survival tool, as you can coordinate your exact location with downloaded maps of trails, etc. Getting lost in bad weather can come to be a thing of the past with one of these high-tech helpers.

Suunto X9i

The Suunto X91 sells for colse to 0, and is an incredibly technology-packed work of modern sports art.

Suunto, a Finnish - based company, has over 70 years sense with personal directional devices, and is a leader in the modern computer-based transported navigation sector.

The X9i is a fully featured Gps watch and comes with these features;
Altimeter Barometer Chronograph Digital Compass Thermometer Adjustable Declination Alarms for time and altitude

The X9i also interfaces with digital maps, can track waypoints along your route and tracks distance, speed and altitude and weather.You can upload maps or Google Earth so you'll all the time have your trail map with you.

These are just a few of the benefits of the Suuntp X9i - and for the price, I think it's a real bargain.

Garmin Forerunner 405

Here's an additional one super high-performance Gps sports watch which is priced a puny lower than the Suunto, and has a few less features as well. The Garmin is more geared towards running, jogging and other more urban sports, as it does not allow maps to be downloaded to memory (for hiking). Take a look at what the Garmin Forerunner 405 includes;

Heart Rate Monitor (optional) Computer synch Virtual Partner Developed Workouts (Custom, goal-orientated exercise) Pace Alert (gives alarm if your pace changes) Time/distance alert (alarms when goals are met)

Even though it has fewer features than the X9i, the 405 is cheaper, and is still a high-quality Gps watch that will serve well.
